A culinary feast awaits participants of Asian Games 2006. The Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC) has promised to make the 15 Asian Games an extravagant affair, the best in the history of Asian Games.
Members of participating countries in Asian Games 2006 will have the opportunity of savoring the best cuisines from all over the world. With cuisines ranging from Arabic and Asian to continental, the sportsmen are in store for a gala.
The food on offer at the Asian Games 2006 Village will be in accordance to the diverse cultural and religious needs of each and every participant and administrator. The tastes and preferences, along with medical considerations of athletes will also be taken care of.
Food and beverage items will all be provided for by the vendor accredited by DAGOC. Hence, no outside food will be available to athletes, leaving out hygiene and health-related concerns.
DAGOC's catering department will supply food to more than 17 venues during the Asian Games 2006, Doha. Spectators will not be allowed to carry eatables inside the stadiums. They'll have to buy food items from the stalls set up at the venues.
