Jacques Rogge, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) will lead a delegation of sports officials to Doha, before the commencement of the 15th Asian Games in this Qatari city.
Set to arrive in Doha on Thursday, 30 November, Rogge will meet executives from various National Olympic Committees and the Olympic Solidarity Commission. A few important decisions are expected to be taken during these meets.
The IOC will discuss reports from various commissions and get updates on the progress of forthcoming Olympics Games in Beijing and Vancouver. Rogge is also expected to perform an extensive check on the organization of Asian Games 2006, Doha.
Whether the IOC premier will stay for the opening ceremony of Asian Games 2006 is not yet known.
