The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and its contingent at Asian Games 2006, Doha seems to be creating confusion for all and sundry.
Barely a day after withdrawing their names from the men and women's basketball, sepaktakraw and fencing competitions, the IOA on 24 November requested the Doha Asian Games Organizing Committee (DAGOC) to reinstate the sepaktakraw and fencing teams again.
In a written statement to DAGOC and the Olympic Council of Asian (OCA), the IOC made a request to re-enter their teams for competitions of sepaktakraw and fencing in Asian Games 2006. Their request was accepted by the concerned authorities.
India's first sepaktakraw and fencing matches are scheduled on 2nd and 9th December respectively.
