Queensland can be aptly called the tourism capital of Australia. Be it Eco tourism or beach side fun, Queensland has a lot to offer. It is the 'sunshine state' of Australia and home to one of the natural wonders of the world, the world's largest coral reef, The Great Barrier Reef. It also boasts of one of the world's best and buzzing beach, The Gold Coast Beach.
Climate
The 2000 km long state is divided by the Tropic of Capricorn, thus the north is tropical warm and South, temperate warm. Though the weather is good all year round, the best time to plan a tour to Queensland is during June-August when the region experiences winter. The summers last from December to February. Rainfall is generally experienced during the hot and humid summers. Monsoon showers also bring along hurricanes to Queensland. |
