Olympic Medal Winners

Olympic Medal Winners are the pride of every nation. There is nothing in the world which comes to mind that can be compared with the pride of being an Olympic Medal Winner. Olympic Medal Winners are heroes in their on right. They are treated like stars in their country and in other parts of the world. The Olympic Champions bring glory to their motherland.

The magnanimity of participating in an Olympic event and winning a medal for your country is stuff that only dreams are made of. Imagine standing on the podium with your country’s flag being hoisted and the national anthem being played to the gallery. It is a feeling which only a chosen few get to experience.

The Olympic motto is “Citius, Altius, Fortius” which is the Latin for “Faster, Higher, Stronger”. The Olympic Medal Winners live up to this motto. The Olympic is a multi-sport event. Athletes from different countries compete against each other in a cross- section of events to win glory for their country. The winner of any event is rewarded with a gold medal, the participant who comes in second wins a silver medal and the person who finishes third lands up with a bronze medal.
