On 13th December, youngest daughter of the family wears white robe and red sash, along with evergreens crown. Tall-lit candles are attached to the crown. She gets up before dawn and put on this robe followed by waking up her parents and serving them coffee and lucia buns, whereas small boys wear white shirts, along with pointed hats. They dressed up like star boys.
Other major highlights of Christmas celebrations in Scotland are the beautiful Christmas decorations. People decorate Christmas trees with candles, apples, Swedish flags, small gnomes and straw ornaments. Homes in Sweden are decorated with red tulips.
On Christmas Eve, traditional Christmas recipes are smorgasbord, Christmas ham, pickled pickled pigs feet, lutfisk, or dried codfish, and sweets. There is another popular Christmas delicacy called Risgryngrot. It is special rice porridge with a hidden almond. According to Sweden tradition, if a person finds the hidden almond then he or she will get married in the coming year.
