The World Champions Brazil defeated indefatigable Croatia 1-0 in a truly enthralling Group F contest in Berlin on 13th June 2006. Brazil couldn't really break through and had to struggle really hard to beat the well-organized Croatian side. The decisive goal of the match was scored by the veteran Brazilian midfielder Kaka, just a minute before the interval. Croatia will play its second group match against Japan on June 18, 2006 in Nuremberg, Germany.
