Wonder of Dortmund" which is portrayed through 30 reliefs
and 633 oak-carved, gilded figures. St. Reinhold's Church

The Propstei Church is a Catholic Church and their is a masterpiece
by Derick Baegert on the elevated altar.
There is also the Natural History Museum which traces the
evolution of the earth. The museum showcases dinosaurs, a
55-million-year-old baby horse, sparkling rock crystals, 150, 000
species of insects, and a huge Amazonian aquarium where some
of the most exotic tropical freshwater fish can be found in
gleefull abandon..

The Museum of Art and Cultural History is among the oldest
museum in the Ruhr area and has a bewildering array of everyday
objects dating back all the way to 1883. Together with the
Dortmund Treasure (a collection of gold coins), On display
at the museum are the Madonnas by Dortmund's Master Conrad
von Soest as well as rare Renaissance collections. The museum
traces the evolutiuon of the city of Dortmund from the Middle
Ages to the present day. The works of celebrated painters
of the stature of Caspar David Friedrich, Carl Spitzweg and
Max Lieberman are displayed at the museum. The museum also
innovatively showcases the history of surveying technology.
As far as shopping is concerned Westenhellweg is by far the
best shopping district of Ruhr area. The Hansastrasse area
is particularly renowned for fashionable clothes and leather

attracts the yuppie Gen X crowd. Westenhellweg and Propstei
