Cathay Pacific Airlines was established by Roy C Farell and Sydney de Kantzow in Hong Kong in 1946. The company soon began to operate flights to major Asian cities like Manila, Shanghai, Singapore and Hong King. In 1962, Cathay Pacific Airlines expanded its operations to Osaka and Nagoya in Japan. Cathay Pacific has taken the lead when it comes to passenger safety, in flight hospitality and innovation.
