The Ireland cricket team will play its first official One-day International (ODI) against England in Belfast on June 13, 2006. Ireland is placed in Group D of the ICC World Cup 2007 groupings, along with Pakistan, West Indies and Zimbabwe. It will play its first warm-up match against Pakistan on March 06, 2007 in Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad, and will play its first world cup match against Zimbabwe on March 15, 2007 in Trelwany Stadium in Jamaica.
Ireland will play its first warm-up match against South Africa. The team will play a total of 3 matches in Group Stage, and if it qualifies for Second Stage - Super 8, the team will contest in 6 matches to enter semi finals and then finals on April 28 at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
