The Netherlands Cricket Team has participated in the 1996 and 2003 ICC Cricket World Cup tournaments, with very limited success. They defeated Namibia in 2003 World Cup to record their first ODI win ever. The Dutch are placed in Group A in the ICC World Cup 2007 groupings, along with high-ranking teams like Australia and South Africa, and Scotland.
The Netherlands will play its first warm-up match against India on March 06, 2007 in Trelawny Stadium in Jamaica, and will start its 2007 World Cup campaign against South Africa on March 16, 2007 in St Kitts and Nevis. Netherlands will play a total of 3 matches in Group Stage, and if it qualifies for Second Stage - Super 8, the team will contest in 6 matches to enter semi finals and then finals on April 28 at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
