The Scotland Cricket Team was awarded the Associate Membership of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1994, and participated in the 1999 ICC Cricket World Cup for the frist time, losing all its first round matches. The best moments for Scottish team came in 2005 when they won the ICC Trophy 2005. Scotland is placed in Group A of the ICC World Cup 2007 groupings, along with Australia, South Africa, and the Netherlands.
Scotland will play its first warm-up match against Sri Lanka on March 05, 2007 at 3Ws Stadium in Barbados, and will start its Group Stage matches against world champions Australia on March 14, 2007 at Warner Park Stadium, St. Kitts and Nevis.
