The ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 in West Indies would be the largest ever edition of the ICC Cricket World Cup, with 16 countries from five continents participating in it. All 16 teams are divided into four groups- Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D, with every group having 4 teams each, including at least two high-ranking teams. All matches of a particular group will be played at one venue, and Group B matches will be hosted by Trinidad and Tobago. Trinidad will also host 4 warm-up matches, featuring Pakistan, South Africa, Canada and Ireland teams.
Group B of the ICC CWC 2007 consists of India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Bermuda cricket teams. The first match of Group B will be played between Sri Lanka and Bermuda on March 16, 2007 at Queen's park Oval in Ports of Spain. The match between India and Sri Lanka is the most important match in Group B, scheduled on March 23, 2007.
