Before the start of the ninth edition of Cricket World Cup, on the 13th of March, every participant team will be playing warm-up matches in order to acclimatize themselves to conditions in the West Indies. The schedule of these matches has been worked out by a system of draw between participating teams in Cricket World Cup 2007. Starting from 6th March 2007, these warm-up matches will be played until the 9th of March. On the first two days, strong teams will contest weaker teams. On the third day of warm-up matches, the eight underdog teams will play against each other. And, on the last day, all the eight top-ranked teams will contest one another, as per a pre-determined match schedule.
