Kenyan beaches are unsullied and have a divine feeling to them. Tourists coming to this country always make it a point to lazy around on the white, sandy terrains near the water bodies here.
Water sports are a favorite pastime with tourists who come to explore the beaches in Kenya. Scuba diving, rafting, fishing, water-skiing and snorkeling are some of the popular sporting activities undertaken here.

The south Mombasa coastline has palm trees galore. The turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean meeting the coral reefs make for a breathtaking sight. A gentle, cool breeze blows here throughout the day. Surrounded by verdant rainforests, the southern coast of Kenya is home to a copious species of flora and fauna. Shimoni, a small city famous for its fishing industry, has myriad coastal caves that open on to thick jungles.
The north coastline of Mombasa has the Kilifi Creek that houses a very famous port which is a big site for yachting. The other famous beaches here are Nyali, Vipingo, Kikambala and Shanzu. Many international level beach resorts adorn these areas.
Another important attraction among beaches in Kenya is the Lamu Island. It is a must-see place for those who wish to explore the mysticism of Kenyan waters. A serene tropical island, Lamu has a huge number of villages nestled on the coastline. Coconut and mango trees are found aplenty in this region.
A Marine National Park at Watamu is another favorite with divers and snorkellers.
The Nyari in Malindi beach has a spectacular depression called the 'Hell's Kitchen'. This area has magnificent gorges and is definitely a gift of nature.
