Birds in Kenya range from the smallest to the largest available in the world. If you indulge in bird watching, there'll probably never be an end to your exploration program.
The best time to come here to see Kenyan birds is between October and April. During this period, about 120 migrant bird species come here down from the Northern Hemisphere, mostly from the Arctic belt.

A large number of water birds congregate at the Mida Creek and Sabaki Estuary during this period. The Great Rift Valley lakes and the Amboseli also attract quite a few of these birds of Kenya. A very popular bird-ringing exercise is held at the Tsavo National Park during this period.
Then, birds from the Southern Hemisphere replace these birds from April to October. But, these are very few in number. However, the rains make these Kenyan birds look colorful and exuberant.
In fact, in July and August, a huge herd of wild beats play the big game. They enter the Massai Mara region for migration. However, not many survive. The Mara River witnesses a big number of mixed flocks of vulture feeding on bodies of animals that don't survive this period. Nevertheless, game watchers have a great time during this period.
To see the birds in Kenya in their natural habitat and amongst their flock is an unforgettable experience.
