British West Indies is the name given to the colonies ruled by the Great Britain. These colonies were also called the Caribbean. Till the year 1962 almost all island territories were under Britain.

Barbados is spread over an area of 430 square kilometers. The island is predominantly made of limestone-coral. The island exhibits spectacular natural beauty of the region.
