Getting to Guadeloupe

Getting to Guadeloupe is not much of a problem. You get a number of flights from different parts of the world to land in this magnificent place.

France has the best air link with Guadeloupe, with respective local and international carriers flying directly between Paris and Point-à-Pitre. Air France flies into Guadeloupe every day from Paris, with connections from Britain and most of Europe. Air France also offers service to Guadeloupe from Miami. Canadian and American visitors can fly directly on Air France or Air Canada. American Airlines flies to its hub in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and then offers two American eagle flights everyday to Guadeloupe. There are also connections available through Martinique. Air Canada flies between Montreal and Guadeloupe every Saturday. Passengers can also fly from Toronto on one of the day-to-day nonstop flights to Barbados. From there, passengers can change to other carriers, most likely LIAT. Antigua-based LIAT connects Guadeloupe with the other Caribbean islands. Air Martinique and Air Guadeloupe fly between Pointe-à-Pitre and Fort-de-France on Martinique, while Antigua-based LIAT connects Guadeloupe with the English-speaking Caribbean. There's no departure tax. Guadeloupe Pole Caraibes Airport is 6km (4mi) north of Pointe-à-Pitre.
