PLACES OF INTEREST IN CENTRAL KRAVNER:
Cres Island is the second largest island in the Adriatic and is a must-see for the Karst landscape. The island has limestone and dolomite dominated littoral Karst sites with occasional snow-clad peaks and plateaus; gently sloping shorelines and steep cliffs; lush Mediterranean forest and sparse maquis.
Krk Island is one of the islands in the Kvarner archipelago that is easily accessible from the mainland by a bridge that connects it with Croatian mainland as well as by ferry. Krk has it's own airport too, that serves surrounding islands as well as Rijeka.
Opatija: A costal town of Kvarner gulf. The town is famous for it's 12km long seaside promenade and is known as the Nice of the Adriatic. Opatija has been a tourist spot from the 19th century.
Pag is the island of the North Dalmatian group. In Pag you will find crystal clear sea in warm coves under a blue sky, magnificent underwater world, and the shade of pine forests, numerous sports and recreation facilities. Pag is well known for salt production. This island is also famous for Croatian cheese.
Rab is one of the islands of the Kvarner Bay archipelago in the north of the Croatian Adriatic Sea. There are about nine thousands inhabitants on Island Rab mostly by agriculture, fishing, shipbuilding and tourism.
Rijeka is a major port. It is located in the very heart of Kvarner Gulf. Thanks to its location, air, bus, train and shiplines connect Rijeka. The town has a very beautiful and informative natural history museum.
SLAVONIA is located in the northeastern part of Croatia between two rivers, Sava and Drava. Thanks to its location, the topography is flat and fertile and the region is known as the grain bowl of the country.

OSIJEK is located on the right bank of the Drava River. Being on the Drava River, Osijek has a lot of opportunities for water sports during summer, as well as opportunities for hunting and angling in Kopacki Rit.
KOPACKI RIT is a marshland with amazing wildlife. It is home to rare birds, marshes and lush vegetation. The 42, 000-acre park is covered in lush vegetation and is home to about 250 bird species, including rare varieties such as the black stork as well as wild goose, wild duck, big white heron, white stork, black stork, white-tailed eagle, big crow, coot, seagull, tern, kingfisher, woodpecker, green woodpecker.
PAPUK MOUNTAIN located on the very edge of Pozeska Dolina (Pozega Valley), the flat and fertile valley and is the only mountain in the area open for walking and hiking. Enjoy its spring waters and revitalizing forest, mainly oak and beach, vegetation.
