Milan is home to a wide range of tourist attractions, as well as recreational opportunities, offering something for very budget and taste. Milan may not be as artistically impressive as Rome and Florence, but the city is extremely rich in art collections, and has a good selection of tourist sights, to keep one engaged on tours to Milan. Major tourist attractions in Milan include the incredibly huge Duomo- the third largest cathedral in the world, Teatro alla Scala Opera House, Castello Sforzesco- a fortress built in 1368, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, and Santa Maria delle Grazie - an elaborate church dating back to 1463, where Leonardo da Vinci's world-renowned painting 'The Last Supper' is on display. There are also numerous museums and art galleries in Milan, including the famous Pinacoteca di Brera Gallery, featuring art works by artists like Grassi, Matisse and Picasso.
