Visa and Passport in Mauritius
A valid passport is essential to enter Mauritius. Before visiting the country, make sure that your passport would not expire before 6 months. Any European person who wishes to stay in Mauritius not more than 3 months does not require any Visa.
Tourists entering Mauritius are allowed to stay not more than three months only if they have valid passport, return ticket and sufficient money with them. Visas are issued with no expense. The validity of visa is up to three months. However if one wishes to extend his/her stay then he/she needs to make an application for the same to the Consulate or High Commission.
Original passport and photocopy of passport, visa application form, 2 passport size photographs, photocopy of date of birth certificate, return tickets and a self addressed stamped address are the documents required during Visa approval. You also need to show a proof that you have sufficient fund and also information about where you will be staying in Mauritius. Tourist visiting from endemic region or infected areas need to show certificate of Inoculation to enter Mauritius.
