Eusebi Güell desired to create a stylish park for Barcelona aristocracy. He commissioned Park Guell and got this amazing stone structure constructed. The Park offers a splendid view of Barcelona City. The Park features a great work of tiling and has fascinating buildings. The entrance of the Park has a dragon fountain structure bedecked in beautiful colored tiling. The dragon is rally fascinating.
The roadway at the Park is supported by rock cut pillars. The twisting rock cut trees seem to be grow out of the ground like tree trunks. Gaudi was a nature admirer. So, natural shapes are a characteristic of his creations.
In the Guell Park, there is a terraced area with breathtaking designs in multi-colored tiled mosaic seats. There is a small house in the Park Guell where Gaudi lived in at one stage. This house has been converted into a museum by the authorities. It exhibits furniture designed by Gaudi.
The Land in the Park is not leveled and retains its pristine look. A double staircase leads the visitors to the hypostyle chamber. The serpent seating at the Park is really unique and appealing.
How to reach: You will need to schedule at least half a day to visit the Park because of the size and location. If you come by metro, then you have to undertake 20 minutes walking to reach Park Guell.
