Airways are the best option to get to Malaga. One of the busiest Airports in Spain serves Malaga. Regular flights connect to all the major cities of Europe. Malaga offers excellent public transportation. Some of the must visit places in Malaga are Gibralfaro, Roman Theatre, The Cathedral, La Alcazaba, Santiago Church, Picasso Museum, Palace de Aduana and Palace Episcopal.
Getting to Malaga
By Air: 9000 flights a year operate through Malaga Airport. It is one of the busiest airports in Spain with an access to major cities of Europe. The two terminals at the Airport Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 are contiguous to one another. There are bars, restaurants and fast food outlets in the Centro Plaza. In Terminal 2 in Centro Comercial Cafés and bars are also located. Medical service is also provided at the Airport. A Pharmacy is located in Terminal 1. For shopping duty-free shops are available throughout the terminals. Throughout both the Terminals, there are many ATMs and a bank (open 09:00-19:30) is located at Terminal 2.
By Rail: There is no Metro system in Malaga. Nonetheless, if you are interested in visiting west of Malaga (Torremolinos, Benalmadena and Fuengirola and surrounding areas), suburban train Renfe Cercanias departs from Centro Alameda every 30 minutes. The commercial station of Malaga is located behind the Eroski shopping complex.
By Road: Between 06:30 and 11:30, at intervals of half an hour, number 19 bus departs for Malaga city regularly. Many buses ply to all the coastal resorts and inland towns. Malaga has only few private transport companies. One can catch a bus to surrounding towns and villages in Andalusia from Paseo de los Tilos.
