As Argentina lies in the southern part of the American continent, it has a close proximity with Antarctica. Therefore the entire country generally has a pleasant weather throughout the year.
The central part of the country that mainly comprises of The Pampas has the most pleasant weather. This area is also the most fertile area in the entire country. Most of the country's agricultural produce comes from this area. The northern part of the country, Mesopotamia and the northeast is wet, swampy as two main rivers surround it. The weather here is humid and hot. During summers, this area is extremely hot while during winters it has a pleasant weather. Patagonia and Lake District experience a desert climate throughout the year although temperatures range from mild to subzero and terrain varies from bucolic river valleys to the gigantic, ice-capped southern Andes. Northern part of Tierra Del Fuego has a climate similar to that of Patagonia while the southern part has plenty of forests and glaciers. Therefore the climate in this region ranges from mild to cold in this region.
