Sarawak is a popular tourist destination in Malaysia attracting thousands of visitors from the country and all over the world. It operates flights to and from Sarawak form different states of Malaysia like Bintulu, Johor Bharu, Kota Kinabalu, Kuala Lumpur, Miri, Mulu, and Penang. Malaysia Airlines also boasts of international flights; it operates flights to Guangzhou via Kota Kinabalu, Hong Kong via Kota Kinabalu, and Singapore.
Other international carriers operating fights to the Kuching International Airport are Singapore Airlines, Silk Air, Xiamen Airlines and in the near future Tiger Airways will be operating flights to Sarawak as the company has already acquired the landing rights, given by Transport Minister.
