National Zoo, Kuala Lumpur is one the major attractions of the city attracting large numbers local as well as international tourists. Located 13 kms away from the city of Kuala Lumpur, the zoo boasts of a central park that is home to a spectrum different species of animals, birds and reptiles
The specialty of the zoo is an aquarium that boasts of varieties of marine and fresh water life. There is also an area in the zoo that is exclusively dedicated to sea lions. The best time for the visitors to see the sea lions is during the feeding time.
The zoo has made arrangements for the visitors that will allow them to see the animals from close quarters. You can enjoy elephant ride in the zoo, children can enjoy train rides, and besides these, there are other entertainment options to choose from.
The National Zoo on the whole is a good zoo by Asian standard; however, sometimes some of the enclosures become congested. The zoo is open all through the week and is open from 9.oo am to 6.00 pm. Admission to the zoo is not free, the adults are charged RM5 whereas for the children the rate is RM2.
