Penang is an Island in the Straits of Malacca, located in the north-west coast of peninsular Malaysia. Penang is one most popular resort destinations of Malaysia. Penang comprises of Penang Island and Seberang Perai. Peang boasts of many beaches out of which Batu Ferringhi and Teluk Bahang are popular with the local and oversees visitors.

The Beaches of Penang are famous for their natural beauty, the northern shoreline of Penang feature expansive stretches of golden sand and the glittering waters of the Straits of Malacca. The beaches are also home to exciting beach sports and activities like swimming, sailing, parasailing, surfing, fishing, boating and jet skiing. Batu Ferringhi after the sunset boasts of a carnival like atmosphere because of the open air bazaar where you can avail every thing from ornate curios to enticing souvenir items and you can also watch local artisans demonstrating their complex art of craft-making and batik-painting.

There is no dearth of sights and activities in Penang. Penang boasts of historical sites like Cheong Fatt Mansion made by Cheong Fatt Tze in the year 1880, it is a 38-storey mansion that combines Eastern and Western influences. There are also a number of temple and mosques like the Hainan Temple, Kapitan Keling Mosque, Khoo Kongsi and amny others.

Penang Hill is also a major attraction boasting of pretty gardens, old fashioned kiosk, restaurant, hotel and an opulent Hindu Temple. There are also sights in Penang that include Fort Cornwallis, Seri RambaiMuseum and the State Art Gallery.
