Bukit Merah Laketown is a must see Resort which includes the Orang Utan Island. It is the only Orang Utan sanctuary in Peninsular Malaysia and is home to 11 Borneo Orang Utans of different ages. Visitors can take a boat ride from the resort jetty. A short walk leads you to tunnel cage at the edge of the rainforest. Once you enter this cage, you will find orang utans climbing up and down walls, swinging and feeding on fresh fruits in their natural habitat. An animal show is also staged four times daily.
