Here we introduce you to the provincial emblem of Lampang - the Lampang Rooster Lampang


Adopted from one of one of the region's oldest temple shrines; the Wat Phra Tat Lampang Luang Lampang. The symbol of a white rooster is actually Lampang's provincial symbol. The white rooster is depicted seated in a 'mondapa' which is an arched structure with a pyramidal roof. The idea of the mondapa has in turn been derived from the ancient temple just named above. The Lampang Rooster Lampang has been further modified and incorporated within the design of Lampang province's seal.


A replica of the symbol of the white rooster can be seen adorning the horse carriages running on the streets of Lampang.
