Camping in Huntington Beach State Park

Sandy beaches, freshwater lagoon, saltwater marsh and maritime forest- all of these combine to make your camping in Huntington Beach State Park one of the cherished experiences. This 25000 acre park has a campground with nearly 186 campsites.

Proximity to the ocean, gift shop, ruins to explore and a serene ambience is what makes camping in Huntington Beach State Park a unique experience. Each site has arrangements for water, electrical hookups along with the facility of restrooms and hot showers. There are designated walk-in tent areas inside the park, inclusive of the tent pads and central water. There is a primitive camping area for organized group, with room for about 200 people, which includes picnic tables, and fire rings.

Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am and are rigorously implemented. Once you have camped, its time to explore the historic lighthouse and the beauty unleashed by nature. The grassy estuaries provide a brilliant contrast to palm, pine and the oak forests. The park conducts a series of activities and programs that breathes life into the natural phenomena and Lowland country history. You can keep yourself busy with activities like fishing for whiting, bluefish, spots, flounder and myriad other species. Surf fishing and fishing from the jetty are the two options. Other recreations include the view of "Atlaya", the historic castle, picnicking, boating, hiking and bird watching. Ocean birds like gannets, loons, scoters are common here. Camping in this small but spectacular coastal preserve is worth it.
