On the 6th of June 1944, activities on this very beach altered the course of world history as they marked the beginning of the end of the Second World War. On that day, thousands of Allies troops arrived at Omaha, as elsewhere in Normandy and after heavy bloodshed - managed to overcome the Germans. A sad but momentous incident especially by the beach….

Today, however Omaha Beach is like any other European beach and offers its visitors plenty of scope to savor the sun, sand and surf.

Normandy's beaches have been described as every bather's dream come true.

They are blessed with breathtaking views and private walkways for you- the tourist, to enjoy to the fullest. Located in Normandy, on Cote de Nacre, Omaha Beach is most well known for the D Day landings on the historic date of June 6, 1944. This is also very close to the town of Bayeux which is renowned for weekly marts selling fresh meat and cheese and offering its guests excellent French Normandy cuisine.
