Rosario Beach is an excellent beach park with all modern facilities. The Beach offers excellent facilities for scuba diving. Spend an entire day at the Beach and also explore the surrounding Deception Pass State Park.
The property can be classified into three major areas: the beach, the upper area and the backwoods. The Rosario Beach also houses the Walla Walla College Marine Station. Facilities offered include a library, computer room (with full internet access), photographic darkroom, scuba facilities, staff offices, and boat storage facilities.
There are four cabins on the beach constructed in 1994. Six new cabins have been constructed in the upper area in 2000. Apart from this, there are 14 more rooms including a seven room dormitory. Married students and staff stay at the upper cabins with their family which also has cooking facilities.
Multiple marine habitats can be found at the Rosario Beach, Washington. Diverse ecosystems are within easy reach that includes temperate rainforest, coastlines, high mountains, rivers, and estuaries. Students are taken on field trips to the Olympic and North Cascades National Parks, the Olympic Peninsula National Marine Sanctuary, Mt. Baker Wilderness Area, and the San Juan Islands National Wildlife Refuge.
Other attractions near Rosario Beach include Anacortes and Oak Harbor (the nearest Taco Bells) is only 15 minutes away. Bellingham or Everett could be reached in less than an hour by car. You could also travel to Seattle or Vancouver B.C. You could also take a Ferry transportation to Friday Harbor, Port Townsend, and Victoria B.C.
